See generally LSJ s.v. e)pikla/w, II.
[1] Quotation (containing the unglossed and otherwise unattested headword) unidentifiable.
[2] An approximation of Josephus, Jewish Antiquities 18.314 (web address 1). The reference was not given by Adler, whose apparatus instead questioned the attribution ('Josephus?'). Nevertheless she did print the relevant aorist participle as e)pikale/sas (from mss FV, and in Josesphus), not e)pikla/sas, and noted Hermann's opinion that this quotation should belong with epsilon 2382. See in brief C. Theodoridis in his Photius edition, vol.II p.LXXXVIII.
