[1] Greek Anthology 6.233.2 and 4 (Maikios/Maecius); apparently referring to a bridle, a charioteer is dedicating implements of his trade to Poseidon; cf. Gow and Page (vol. I, 282-283) and further excerpts from this epigram at gamma 373, kappa 1520, mu 1430, and psi 66. Gow and Page (283) follow the Apographon Guietianum (with correction probably by Fran├žois Guyet (1575-1655)) by reading genu/wn (of jaws) rather than the manifestly incorrect neku/wn (of corpses), with which the Suda repeats the Anthologia Palatina.
