Same entry, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon (1547). The headword noun is attested exclusively in reference to the calls of rough-voiced birds such as crows and jackdaws. The form glossed here (nominative singular) is perhaps drawn from Greek Anthology 7.713.8 (generally attributed to Antipater of Sidon), a passage quoted at lambda 726.
