Aristophanes [writes]: "but reel your thinking out into the air, like a cockchafer on a string".[1]
It also means a kind of flower.[2]
Mêlolonthê: zôüphion, hôi chrôntai eis paidian hoi paides: ho tois anthesin epikathezetai. hoi de paides linon tou podos exartôntes, kai xuliphion ho ouk exischuousin anakouphisai, eis ton aera aphiasin, echontes exousian palin autas kunêgetêsai. Aristophanês: all' apochala tên phrontid' eis ton aera, linodeton hôsper mêlolonthan. sêmainei de kai eidos anthous.
