[2] A phrase (using the aorist middle infinitive of the headword verb in a figurative way) quoted from an historical account; again, slightly differently, at pi 2909. Adler notes, and deems rash, the suggestion of Jonathan Toup (1713-1785) that it be attributed to Menander Protector.
