Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Circumcision was given to the Jews for three reasons: so as to be a sign of faith, and indicative and symbolic of the race of Abraham, and a riddle of a pure and moderate order. It was not given so as to create righteousness, but [to be] a seal and a sign of the righteousness of Abraham [stemming] from faith.
