Be that as it may, according to LSJ οἰδαίνω is an intransitive verb meaning 'swell', identical in meaning to οἰδέω (omicroniota 30, omicroniota 37). See also omicroniota 28. According to LSJ the causative transitive verb that means 'cause to swell' is οἰδάνω (omicroniota 25).
