Though LSJ cites only the Suda for the verb metaxrw/nnumi, it is used extensively in Late and Byzantine Greek. This present participle, masculine nominative plural, occurs three times in Cyril of Alexandria, e.g. Glaphyra in Pentateuchum PG 69.37c (on Genesis 1.3) and PG 69. 49c (on Genesis 2.1).
