Μύρον ἐπὶ κεφαλῆς: τὸ ἀρχιερατικὸν ἔλαιον ἐξ ἡδυσμάτων συνέκειτο. ἀλλ' οὐδὲν ἐκεῖνο αὐτὸ καθ' ἑαυτὸ τοσαύτην εὐοσμίαν ἠφίει: ἡ δὲ πάντων μίξις καὶ κρᾶσις πλείστην ὅσην τὴν εὐωδίαν εἰργάζετο. τούτῳ τὴν ἀδελφικὴν εἰκότως συμφωνίαν ἀπείκασεν: ἡ γὰρ τῶν πλειόνων κατορθωμάτων συνεισφορὰ τῆς τελείας ἀρετῆς τὴν εὐκοσμίαν ἐργάζεται.
