The headword (which must be quoted from somewhere) is masculine accusative singular or neuter nominative/accusative singular of the adjective lamuro/s. Neither the illustrative quotations given in what follows here nor modern lexica (LSJ and Chantraine) show much agreement on the meaning or etymology of this adjective, but 'greedy' does seem a basic sense.
