Note:
Part of Heracles' description of the underworld in Aristophanes, Frogs 145-7, at 146 ("[then a great slough of ever-flowing dung, and in this [men] are lying, anyone who ever wronged his guest"), with over-explicit comment from the scholia there. (Lying in dung would indeed count as punishment, but the gloss only applies to that context.)
