Adler number: gamma,259
Translated headword: earth's navel

Translation:
[Meaning] the temple of Apollo.[1] "For if such doings as these [are] honorable, why must I dance in the chorus? No longer do I go as a worshipper to the inviolate navel of the earth." That is, no longer do I go to Apollo, nor to his undefiled and holy and unapproachable temple.[2]
