Ἡνίαι: λῶροι χαλινῶν. ὁπότερος σφῶν εὖ με μᾶλλον ἂν ποιῇ, τούτῳ παραδώσω τῆς Πνυκὸς τὰς ἡνίας. τουτέστι τὴν ἐξουσίαν. τροπικῶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἁρμάτων. ταῖς γὰρ ἡνίαις ἡνιοχοῦντο οἱ ἵπποι, οἱ δὲ δῆμοι διὰ τῶν πολιτευομένων.
