Abridged from Harpokration (and Photius) s.v., commenting on its mention in Demosthenes 19.148 (and citing Theopompus FGrH 115 F157).
Demosthenes mentions it as the site of a battle (347 BCE) in which the Thebans suffered heavy losses at the hands of the Phocians. Not precisely located, but evidently in the NW of the region.
