Vetting Status: high

Greek Original:
Ἐντέτηκεν: ἐγκεκόλληται, πέπηγεν. τούτοις ἀντ' ἀληθοῦς ψευδὴς ἐντέτηκε δόξα.
Notes:
cf. sigma 1637.
[1] The headword is perfect active, third person singular, of ἐντήκω (cf. epsilon 1446, epsilon 1472, epsilon 1473). The glosses are those of the scholia to Plato, Menexenus 245D, where it occurs (as -κε ); nevertheless Latte on Hesychius epsilon3358, with the single gloss ἐνκεκόλληται (sic) claims it as quoted from the Septuagint (4 Maccabees 8.26). See also pi 2812, for a different compound of the same basic verb.
[2] Julian (the emperor), Oration 7.206C.
