Meaning I would be sated. Aristophanes [writes] in Acharnians: "I would not be filled with throwing rocks at him." He has hit on an optative inflexion. For [the verb] is e)mpiplw=, which is inflected with reduplication -- from which a derivative [is] e)mpi/plhmi.[1] From this comes [pimpla=si] "[the fish] fill the recesses of the sheltering harbor."[2] This [comes] with another derivative, from which [is] plh/qw, as from nw= ["I swim"] [comes] nh/qw. And indeed from plw= [the optative is] plei/mhn, as from blw= [the optative is] blei/mhn. Of this the second person [is blei=o], "if you are hit while toiling [in battle] ..."[3]
So plei/mhn [occurs] and [so does] e)mplei/mhn.
