The headword -- third person plural, aorist indicative active, of diaku/ptw -- is quoted from the Psalm 91.8 LXX (92.7 RSV: "though the wicked sprout like grass, and all evildoers flourish"). As the sense of the Septuagint text is unclear, several commentators on the Psalms provided explanatory comment; this one follows Theodoret (PG 80.1617-1620).
