The dedicated item is unnamed, but the anthologist located this epigram among others highlighting a shield (a)spi/s), an assumption that Gow and Page (ibid.) find quite plausible on the basis of the feminine participle e)kprolipou=sa (from e)kprolei/pw, I forsake, abandon); cf. Paton (366-367).
