Hesychius chi287 and Zenobius 6.44 both give 'with a hand-gnawing fetter' as a phrase in the dative case, and gloss it as 'with a boxer's [hand-]straps'; but Zenobius goes on to connect it specifically with Stesichorus' [sigma 1095] composition of his Funeral Games for Pelias.
