Notes:
This entry and alpha 4354 are out of alphabetical order.
[1] cf. Photius s.v. The headword, in both instances, is actually the accusative *)/Attin. The rejected *)/Attia is not otherwise attested.
[2] An approximation of Demosthenes 18.260 (web address 1); cf. under alpha 4354. This refers to the shout of worshippers of Cybele, attês huês, which here is misspelled with iota as a result of the phonological changes in medieval Greek which caused iota and eta to be pronounced the same way.
[3] Theopompus fr. 27 Kock, now 28 K.-A. (Adler notes, but does not adopt, Porson's necessary emendation from g' e)/sw to s' e)gw/.)
