[Opens] and a)noignu/ei ["opens up"]: [sc. used] in two ways.[1]
For a)noi/gw [means] "I separate".
Also [sc. attested is the phrase] a)noigome/nois toi=s kth/nesin ["when the cattle are being opened"], meaning cleaved apart. Herodotus [sc. uses the phrase].[2]
"With the tombs being opened under a witness sun and the bones being shamefully carried out into private tombs."[3]
[Used] with a dative; and with an accusative, as in: "open your mouth with the word of god."[4]
