The son of Anaxander, a Rhodian from Kameiros,[1] lived during the wars of Philip the Macedonian, [?winning his first victory?] in the 101st Olympiad;[2] but according to some [he was] a Colophonian. He wrote sixty-five dramas, and won with ten. And this man was the first to introduce love-stories and seductions of virgins.

Notes:
The entry omits the crucial classification of Anaxandrides as a comic poet (of the C4 BC: Middle Comedy). See generally OCD(4) s.v. (p.83); Kassel-Austin, PCG II pp.236-278.
[1] Repeated under kappa 280.
[2] As transmitted, this numeral equates to 376-373 BCE, but that seems too early: emendations producing '108th' (348-345) or '111th' (336-333) have been suggested.
