A cryptic entry as it stands, but almost certainly to be connected with alphaiota 364 and alphaiota 377 (and similar entries in other lexica: Photius s.vv. ai)tou/menos and ai)th/sasqai and Hesychius s.vv. ba/khlos and parufi/s), i.e. from a citation of Menander's lost comedy of that name (Kassel-Austin, PCG VI.2 pp. 227-230).
Hymnis was the name of a hetaira (epsilon 3265, epsilon 3266); she reappears in one of Lucian's Dialogues of the Courtesans.
