Note:
The phrase "triple six" is used by the watchman in the prolog of Aeschylus, Agamemnon (33) to describe his joy at the beacon signal announcing the fall of Troy. The proverb here associated with it is discussed at tau 1006; see also eta 635. The proverb was apparently sometimes used with the Ionian dialect word for 'ones': omicroniota 106, cf. tau 1005.
