Headword: *talapaqe/s
Adler number: tau,48
Translated headword: misery-enduring
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] wretched.
Greek Original:
*talapaqe/s: talai/pwre.
Note:
Similarly in other lexica; references at Photius pi30 Theodoridis, where the headword is talaipaqe/s rather than the Suda's (probably erroneous) talapaqe/s and the gloss is talai/pwron (neuter nominative or accusative) rather than the Suda's talai/pwre (masculine or neuter vocative); talaipaqe/s would fit the alphabetical order better here too. The headword (a variant of tau 708) is presumably quoted from somewhere but neither this version of the word nor the one in Photius is independently attested apart from the genitive plural talaipaqe/wn at Greek Anthology 1.32.1.
