Probably from commentary to Homer, Iliad 20.165, where the headword in this form (nominative singular) appears; cf. scholia ad loc., Apollonius Sophistes, Homeric Lexicon 141.29-32. Other forms of the headword also appear in Homer at Iliad 11.481 (accusative singular; cf. Hesychius sigma698) and 16.353 (nominative plural; cf. Hesychius sigma697).
