[2] A grammatically incorrect version of what is also found in xi 48: Parysatis, the mother of Artaxerxes IV and Cyrus the Younger (pi 742), saves Cyrus from execution at his brother's hands. The source is unidentifiable. Here Parysatis also preserves Cyrus' position as satrap (satrapei/an); in xi 48 she preserves his command of an army (stratei/an); cf. Xenophon, Anabasis 1.1.3 (web address 1).
[3] There are two figures attested with the name Derketaios: a bodyguard of Marcus Antonius who brought news of Antonius' death to Caesar (Plutarch, Antonius 78), and a subordinate of Semiramis at sigma 220. The second of these is the one relevant here, according to Favuzzi [below], who connects this entry with omega 91 (q.v.).
