This (masculine nominative plural) participle is Comica adespota fr. 1076 Kock (387 K.-A.). For the verb itself, cf. Aristophanes, Acharnians 822 (web address 1); there the blockaded Megarians (cf. mu 382, mu 383, mu 385, mu 386, mu 387, mu 388) in 425 BCE are starving, which accounts for the first of the two glosses here. The second was rejected by Latte on Hesychius s.v., but cf. under mu 385 (end); the scholion which lies behind that material asserts, of the Megarians, that they say one thing but do another.
