Μάλχος, Βυζάντιος, σοφιστής. ἔγραψεν ἱστορίαν ἀπὸ τῆς βασιλείας Κωνσταντίνου καὶ ἕως Ἀναστασίου: ἐν ᾗ τὰ κατὰ Ζήνωνα καὶ Βασιλίσκον καὶ τὸν ἐμπρησμὸν τῆς δημοσίας βιβλιοθήκης καὶ τῶν ἀγαλμάτων τοῦ Αὐγουσταίου καὶ ἄλλα τινὰ διεξέρχεται μάλα σεμνῶς καὶ τραγῳδίας δίκην ἀποθρηνῶν αὐτά.
