The kestreu/s is defined as a ke/falos in the scholia to Aristophanes, Wasps 790b, the scholia to Aristophanes, Clouds 339a, and the scholia to Oppian, Halieutica 1.156, 2.642; Hesychius kappa2401 about ke/faloi says, "some kinds of kestreu/s are so called."
