Notes:
An entry which combines quoted phrases from Aristophanes, Wasps 1138 and 1142 (web address 1) with comment from the scholia there. The jokes are expertly unravelled by MacDowell 278-9. The main point is that, in the dialogue summarized here, a kaunakes/Persis (cf. gamma 74) is far more luxurious than the other items mentioned.
