Headword: *)hgge/lh
Adler number: eta,35
Translated headword: was announced, was reported
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] was reported back.
Greek Original:
*)hgge/lh: a)phgge/lh.
Notes:
The headword (which must be quoted from somewhere; there are numerous possibilities) is the aorist second passive, third person singular, of a)gge/llw ”I announce”, and it is glossed by a compound verb with a very similar meaning.
Adler reports a similar entry from the Lexicon Ambrosianum: Laurentianus 59.16 folium 187v has *)hgge/lh: h)gge/lqh, i.e. the headword verb is glossed with the aorist first passive of the same (commoner) verb. Note that this is also the gloss in one of the Suda mss, the Vossianus (V).
