= Synagoge chi74, Hesychius chi430. The headword, accented thus, is evidently the present participle (masculine nominative singular) of a verb otherwise unattested, in this or any other form. Cunningham, in his edition of the Synagoge, prints different accentuation (xqesifw/nwn: kakolo/gwn), which would make the headword and the gloss genitive plural forms of an adjective (with little change in meaning, apart from case and number). Cunningham also reports, however, an alternative gloss in a ms of Cyril which unambiguously involves a genitive plural participle: kaka\ lego/ntwn.
The headword perhaps implies criticising someone or something under the influence of a hangover; cf. LSJ s.v. xqesino/s (web address 1).
