Βδέλυγμα ἐρημώσεως: σημεῖον τῆς ἐρημώσεως. ἦσαν δὲ εἰκόνες τινὲς ἀπηγορευμέναι τῷ νόμῳ, εἰς τοῦτον εἰσκομιζόμεναι. ὃ δὴ Πιλᾶτος πεποίηκε νύκτωρ ἐς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ βασιλέως εἰκόνα εἰσαγαγών.
