[*)aigale/ws] in the genitive instead of . . .
Greek Original:
*ai)gale/ws e)pi\ genikh=s a)nti\ tou= ...
Notes:
Mt. Aigaleos is in Attica (and should not be confused with Mt. Aigaleon in Messenia). It lies NW of the city of Athens, with a commanding view of Salamis bay; see Herodotus 8.90.4, where Xerxes watches from there as his fleet loses the sea-battle of Salamis (480 BCE).
It is mentioned in the genitive case in Callimachus, Hecale fr.238 (line 23), which was perhaps cited in this entry's missing conclusion. The regular Attic genitive singular is *ai)gale/w (as at mu 251).
