[1] Likewise or similarly in other lexica. The adjective e)/mplhgos, otherwise unattested, is appended in the 1968 LSJ Supplement to e)mplhgh/s ('mad, rash'), itself a synonym of e)/mplhktos (for which see under epsilon 1026). However, Hesychius alpha1917 glosses the present headword as plhgh/, u(/bris, ba/sanos, ma/stic, and for the connection with blows see also alphaiota 168, alphaiota 169, alphaiota 170.
