[1] Greek Anthology 6.307.3 (Phanias), on the barber Eugathes who forsakes his trade for philosophy, but returns to it when facing starvation. The excerpt is quoted from phi 120; cf. Gow and Page, vol. I (163-164), vol. II (473-475), and further extracts from this epigram at sigma 1348 and psi 66. The text of the Anthology gives δονακῖτιν for the Suda's consistent ἄκιτιν ; cf.
