Aeschines [in the speech] Against Timarchus [writes]: "and phimoi and other dicing utensils."[1] The so-called muzzle, into which [dice] were thrown, was a cup. Diphilus says "pull the cup into the middle, so that one can throw in [the dice]."[2]
