Notes:
[1] = Synagoge 729; Photius, Lexicon epsilon1699. Some similar glosses for different forms of the verb had already been given in Hesychius: espilon5179, epsilon5181, epsilon5183. In this particular form (future indicative active, first person singular), the headword is only attested three times outside lexicography with the sense indicated: Euripides, Alkestis 365 (web address 1); Lucian, Kataplous (Cataplus) 8; and Libanius, Declamations 19.41. Commentary to the first or second of those passages, in particular, might lie behind this part of the entry.
[2] Sophokles, Ajax 566 (web address 2), using the present tense of the headword verb. (A variant of this passage is quoted at alpha 4211, q.v.)
