[Meaning she who has been] corrupted.
Procopius [writes]: "a woman corrupted in character."[1]
"And the spirits of the hypaspists of Eudoxia were broken against Chrysostom."[2]
Exerrôguia: diephtharmenê. Prokopios: gunê ton tropon exerrôguia. kai hoi thumoi tôn hupaspistôn tês Eudoxias kata tou Chrusostomou exerrôgêsan.
Likewise in ps.-
Zonaras. The headword, extracted from the quotation which follows, is a perfect participle (from
e)krh/gnumi) in the feminine nominative singular. LSJ s.v. does not register this sense of the verb.
[1]
Procopius,
Secret History 1.12, about Antonina the wife of Belisarius; quoted also at

[2] (Addendum lacking, Adler reports, in mss AFV and a marginal addition in M.) Quotation unidentifiable. Tentatively attributed by Adler to Symeon Metaphrastes. For (John) Chrysostom, in any event, see
iota 463. His opponent here is Aelia Eudoxia, wife of the Eastern emperor
Arcadius.
