Of Nicomedia,[1] an Epictetan philosopher;[2] known as "the new Xenophon". He was in Rome during the reigns of the emperors Hadrian and Marcus [Aurelius] and Antoninus, and garnered honors even so far as becoming a consul himself, just as Heliconius says,[3] through the excellence of his education. He wrote a great multitude of books.[4]
