[Meaning] inattentive. "For the child of Agamemnon [is] not unheeding, nor the god who rules by Acheron." By zeugma, a)nepi/strofos [is used] of [Hades] going after his enemies, but he has respect and pays attention. Or [Orestes] not coming back. Hence also the [phrase] "turning-round year."[1]

Notes:
cf. already alpha 2300, and again pi 1331. The present entry quotes Sophocles, Electra 182-4 (web address 1), with a scholion thereto -- here abbreviated so much as to obscure the sense. According to the scholion, the adjective is used a)po\ koinou= (cf. iota 215), in different senses of Orestes and Hades: of Orestes not returning, and of Hades not pursuing enemies. (For zeugma in this sense see generally LSJ s.v., II: "a figure of speech, wherein two subjects are used jointly with the same predicate, which strictly belongs only to one".)
