Registration for the conference: The cost is $360. Registration covers all meals from dinner Friday through lunch Monday. There are also registration options for

  • Kosher meals (extra charge; see the registration form)
  • Vegetarian or other meal requirements (please send email to iayc2014@gmail.com to request)
  • No meals (there is a restaurant with vegan options within walking distance)
  • Part-time (speakers plus entertainments)
  • Single entertainment events

The theme of the conference is "Yiddish heroes". We honored Troim Katz Bliacher Handler with a Lifetime Achievement Award and an original painting by Alexander Vaisman.

Our Tribute Book honors clubs and individual heroes.

Our plenary speakers are always a highlight of the conference. This year we are delighted to welcome the following scholars.


The conference includes daily morning and afternoon hour-long breakout sessions: lectures, discussions, and workshops, conducted in Yiddish, English, or a mixture. Other events: In addition to plenary speakers, breakout sessions, entertainment, and meals, we have

  • a Calling All Authors session where attendees can show their own publications (not necessarily Yiddish!)
  • a vendor session with items for sale
  • a hospitality room with chairs and snacks
  • a short shabbos shakharis service, with Torah reading (Haftorah in Yehoash's translation)
  • a tie-in with the Global Day of Jewish Learning logo
