MicroTales
When testing a storytelling algorithm, we want to understand how it handles story games of different sizes and features. MicroTales provides a way to define a whole spectrum of simple story games that all follow the same basic rules, so an algorithm can be configured once and then tested in many situations. If a story game is a recipe, MicroTales is a pantry stocked with raw ingredients. MicroTales is a set of modular pieces that define what characters can do and what they want, what kinds of places exist, and how they are connected. Together, these components can be used to generate new worlds in which algorithms can tell stories.
