MostWise: Medical or Scholarly Terminology Words and Ideas Server

• Student: Trevor Barnett (2004)
• Purpose: Design and implement a facility for presenting exercises (with hints) and quizzes (with feedback) for students in a course in medical and scientific terminology.
• Method: MostWise provides Web-based forms for students and instructors. Instructors set assignments and quizzes, with problems being multiple-choice or direct-answer. The hints are based on a glossary, which is also searchable.
• What the student learned
  1. Tools: Perl, along with the CGI and PerlDB modules, mySQL (database management), JavaScript.
  2. Documentation: Writing a formal report.
