Headword: Ὑπερδέξιον χωρίον
Adler number: upsilon,254
Translated headword: a position above-right
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
"They had a [sc. defensive] position above-right, making it very difficult." Xenophon says [this].
Greek Original:
Ὑπερδέξιον χωρίον: εἶχον δ' ὑπερδέξιον οἷον χαλεπώτατον. Ξενοφῶν φησιν,
Note:
Likewise in other lexica; references at Photius upsilon109 Theodoridis. The headword phrase is seemingly a variant version of Xenophon, Anabasis 4.8.2, where the transmitted text has not this adjective (accepted by LSJ s.v., and cf. epsilon 1867) but the prepositional phrase ὑπὲρ δεξιῶν .
