*qurgwni/dai: dh=mos *ptolemai/+dos fulh=s.
Notes:
Abridged from Harpokration s.v., commenting on this toponym's appearance in Isaeus fr. 107 Sauppe (and citing Demetrius of Scepsis for the information given here).
The Attic tribe Ptolemais and deme Berenikidai were created in 224/3 BCE in honour of Ptolemy III Euergetes and his wife Berenike.
Thyrgonidai was not, in fact, a deme in the constitutional sense (with e.g. representation on the city council) but apparently an identifiable community within the deme of Aphidna. See J.S. Traill, The Demes of Attica (Princeton 1975) 88.
