Present infinitive of a verb, θόρνυμαι , which literally means 'to jump'. Glossed by Hesychius with γεννᾶν , μίγνυσθαι , ὀχεύεσθαι , and σπερμαίνειν ('to engender', 'to have intercourse', 'to mount' and 'to inseminate').
