Headword: Θειάσομαι
Adler number: theta,312
Translated headword: I will be inspired
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
"[I will be inspired] altogether." [Meaning] I will rejoice frenziedly.
Greek Original:
Θειάσομαι ὅλη: χαρῶ μανικῶς.
Notes:
The headword phrase must be quoted from somewhere, but it is multiply problematic: here in the Suda θειάσομαι ὅλη (for the verb cf. theta 306, theta 307, theta 309), but in Photius, Lexicon theta58 Theodoridis θιάσῳ μαινόλῃ (after correction of the adjective). Photius also gives the gloss not as χαρῶ μανικῶς but χορῷ μανικῷ ("in a frenzied dance"). Thus, it seems, the headword phrase involves no verb at all but is a noun plus adjective in the dative singular -- and Clement of Alexandria, Protrepticus 1.2.2.7 has it: θιάσῳ μαινόλῃ .
For further detail see Theodoridis' note.
