Notes:
C3 BCE (Late New-Comedy era); OCD(4) s.v.; Kassel-Austin, PCG 7.696-698.
[1] See Athenaeus, Deipnosophists 3.104B [3.63 Kaibel] ('Ghost or Miser') and 14.616A [14.5 Kaibel] (Master-lover). But Athenaeus mentions no Centaur of his, and Adler was surely wrong to endorse Volkmann's view that this is a reference to 15.699F [15.57 Kaibel], where a dithyrambic poem called Centaurs (sic) is attributed to the lyric poet Theodoridas of Syracuse.
